History for ClusterSetup

changed:
-
We've tested several cluster distributions on espresso and other mini-clusters. Here's how to set them up, how to run, tips, tricks, pitfalls ...

  Our current production system is ROCKS 3.1 + biobrew described below as NewBioBrewClusterSetup, some of the documentation is the same as BioBrewClusterSetup. To further compicate matters, I'm already testing an upgrade to ROCKS + BioBrew 3.3 (NewNewBioBrewClusterSetup).

  * OscarClusterSetup - No longer used Oscar 2.3.2 and RedHat 9.

  * OpenMosixClusterSetup - Raw OpenMosix on RedHat 9

  * ClusterKnoppixSetup - sweet, instant cluster.

  * RocksClusterSetup - Straight Rocks 3.0.0

  * BioBrewClusterSetup - Old Rocks + Bioinformatics tools + Sun Grid Engine.

  * NewBioBrewClusterSetup - Rocks 3.1 + biobrew roll

  * NewNewBioBrewClusterSetup - ROCKS 3.3 + Biobrew 3.3 - testing on puya.

  * NfsPerformanceTests - Tuning NFS on the cluster.

  * MPIClusterErrors - Fixing MPI errors on espresso.

  * MPIBlastHowto - Running mpiblast on espresso.

  * RocksUserAdmininistration - Adding users on Rocks.

We should also have info on the EspressoClusterNodeHardware, EspressoMaster (barrista?), and DellPowerConnectSwitches.
