Network Printing at the HPCf
We've got 3 network printers set up at the HPCf, and most machines are set up to print both color and b/w postscript.
The printers are:
- 136.145.54.15 - B&W HP Laserjet 4050 postscript.
- 136.145.54.16 - Color HP DeskJet? 2500CM postscript.
- 136.145.54.17 - Large format DesignJet? 488CA postscript - do not use this unless you know what you're doing, the glossy paper costs $200 for 150 feet.
Under unix, just set up a generic postscript printer, and use lpd to spool to the above IP addresses. Under windows, install a jetdirect port and drivers for the corresponding printer, if at all possible, use the postscript version of the drivers.
