Introduction to Bioinformatics

A short introduction to bioinformatics and microarray analysis

While Dr. Oscar Moreno is out of town I'm giving 3 lectures in his bioinformatics class at UPR-RRP.

My students gave me homework, defining bioinformatics, and explaining why computer science is needed.

I gave the genes-for-geeks talk August 31, 2006.

I'm borrowing Dr Rafael Irizarry's ENAR03 lecures for September 5, 2006. This class was postponed until the 7th because of the student assembly. Please look at slides 31-77 of Part A of the lecture.

Finally, I'll give an introduction to finite field models of gene expression on September 7, 2006 (this lecture postponed until October 10).
